Question No Mouse under Quake 3 Arena?

I just installed Quake 3 Arena on a Slackware 9 install (default 2.4.20 kernel) and everything works fine except I have no mouse movement when I run the game. Clicking either button works fine, but when I'm at the main menu, the cursor will not move. I've been looking at troubleshooting guides and FAQs for a while now, but nothing about this is mentioned.

Anybody else have this problem and/or know how to fix it?

Get the 1.32B release, it seems to fix the problem. Get it from Id's FTP site.
