Question Tor for Suse 9.3?

Is there any way to install Tor for Suse 9.3? I am not sure what I should download from the EFF site. Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no prepackaged RPM for SuSE, but you'll have no problem compiling it from source tarballs.
I saw the site. It has all tarballs you need. Unpack and compile

Talking

If you still need help with compiling, please let us know. But usually the tarball when unpacked contains readme or install file that gives step by step guide to compiling
Good luck

Post Libevent Corrupt Archives?

I downloaded libevent from both sourceforge and the originating monkey.org and whenever I try to access the archive, I get an error stating that "there was an error with the archive" (ark) or "the file does not exist" (gunzip). So is this just me or is there a problem with the file? Thanks again for the assistance.

I've just downloaded and unpacked it
here: http://tor.eff.org/dist/tor-0.1.0.14.tar.gz
You will need libevent too:

*frustration*

i too have been attempting to download and unpack libevent-1.1.tar.gz (for tor) from monkey.org for a week or so now - i'm fairly new to linux, but i've never had this problem so far - everything i download i can unpack fine.

i have tried redownloading the file from the homepage - multiple times - and i've even downloaded all other versions (old and the newest one) with the same result. i've used firefox and konqueror, i've tried opening the files directly rather than downloading them and i get the same result each time.

does anyone know why this may be? this is REALLY doing my head in and i don't want to admit defeat by switching to windows to download and unpack this thing........

Arrow Fix

Hey Pixso -
Try doing a search for libevent, there is a thread there about corrupt archives and someone posted a reply there that worked for me.
