Configuring Internet in Fedora Core 3

hi

i can't seem to get online,

i'm not sure if my modem has installed correctly, i'm using a Motorola Surfboard 5100 USB/Ethernet Modem in Fedora Core 3 and i've done the /sbin/dhclient and ifconfig stuff but i don't know where to go from there. is the modem working, if so how do i get on to the web?

i'm using ethernet for the cable USB/Ethernet modem, no idea how the USB works.

The first thing to check is whether the driver module is loaded for the modem using lsmod.

If not, you'll have to modprobe the driver if one exists. If one doesn't exist, you need to install one. You should be able to get info about it using google.

You dont have to use usb. Use ethernet instead. I have a surfboard modem and i am using ethernet. Good luck.
