Unlocking /root file
Using libranet 2.8.1 (kernel 2.4.25) I can't as SU get into my root file or var etc. It tells me that permission is denied. When I look at the file system in say Konqueror, it shows my root file with a lock on it. If I go into properties no permissions available.

How do I unlock my root file, so that I may use it again as SU.?
Let me add that I also have the problem of once in Console I get a continuous message "SRO: CDR not ready, Make sure there is a disk in the drive." The only wat I can log into Console is to put a cd into the drive. Now I am not sure if this problem is related or not, other tna I tried to look at my "/var/log/messages" to see if there was anything that might be giving me this problem.
