Exclamation kernel 2.6.9 Kernel panic problem

how to solve this problem

from another thread
-----------------------
Kernel panic: this is because Reiserfs (if you use it) is not enabled by default. Make sure it is enabled under "Filesystems".

while compiling kernel 2.6.9 i have enable reisersf option(support for filesys) and i have also tryed with creating file for initrd.gz and locate this in lilo & also run lilo but still get this problem

how to avoid this problem in kernel 2.6.9
when it fail i generally start slack with the installation disc bare.i root=/dev/hda7 noinitrd ro

thanx
