kdesknewsticker and firefox

hey, im using kdesk news ticker, and i want to make it so when i click on a link, it opens in firefox not konquerer... how can i set this?

I personnally modified the "alternative" for "sensible-browser" setting, that is used in many software :

$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2004-08-14 14:07 /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser -> /usr/bin/firefox

When I type /usr/bin/sensible-browser it opens Firefox

I use KDE 3.2.

so what do i type in the console?

Have a look to the man of update-alternative command.

Once you've added your alternative, you will end up with something like that :

$ update-alternatives --display x-www-browser
x-www-browser - status is auto.
link currently points to /usr/bin/firefox
/usr/bin/konqueror - priority 100
/usr/bin/firefox - priority 110
Current `best' version is /usr/bin/firefox.

You must add a higher priority to your alternative

I found that there are RPM over the internet related to update-alternatives or alternatives package.

I finally found that on a Debian system it comes with the package manager (dpkg)... But it seems to be usable in any linux system.
