For new users...

(because of little support, never buy an ATI.)

if you have a ATI, and buy a nvidia 5400 FX for 100$ with 256 mb ddr, it's awesome, a great card.

and trust me, it will be the best thing you've ever done.

Actually, screw the petition. Go out and by a new nvidia card and send the ATI card to ATI's corporate office telling them what you did and why. If you haven't bought ATI, by nvidia and write ATI and tell them why you did not by the ATI card. Businesses don't give a shit about petitions, but lost revenue will make them think.

done .... i found that for my card (9200se) the xfree/xorg drivers work better then ati;s drivers

(ati's drivers didn't work at all.. well no direct rendering ... xorg/xfree's drivers work without the least bit of hassle)

kinda sad when ati cant even make drivers that WORK!!!!

the petition threatens boycotting.. this is never a good idea.
dont sign it, dont buy ATI... buy Nvidia....

ATI will be compareing themselvs againsed Nvidia (the leaders in Graphics cards) to try and find out why they dont have as goder reputation...

price.. similar...
performance... similar...

linux support.... oh FSCK.

and then all willl be well with the world.

ofcourse byy this time, you will all be hapy in the world of nvidia
