I've been using slack for some time and i've NEVER been able to get rid of that message. I do not believe it's an error though as it seems to come up during my PCI bus inits. I know of others who've gotten this and it affects nothing. If you figure it out, please post it and let us know.

nah nothing wrong, it's just a kernel message that for some reason is not suppressed by the "quiet" option in lilo or wherever

I have that exact 'error' myself, but all works hunky dory. Could it be that the PCI bridge(s) conform to the standards, but don't give their 'name' when probed...hence their being unknown? Just a thought...since it works Ok, I never asked too much about it.
