Can't get supermount working

Running Slackware 9.1 with kernel 2.4.22. I patched the source just fine (no errors), and compiled it into the kernel as a module (from make menuconfig under "Filesystems").

When I do a modprobe supermount I get this error:

I searched google and this forum for some clues as to what all that means, though I didn't come up with anything. Did I compile something wrong? I'm positive I used the correct patch for my kernel version.

Run "uname -a" and report that. I'm having similar problem with a tainted kernel module (vpnclient from Cisco). If in fact the kernel you are running and the module you built are the same kernel, you may have to rework the module code to stop relying on symbols no longer exported.

The output of "uname -a" is:

Supermount does'nt work like that. Compile it into the kernel and then modify your /etc/fstab to suit.

Here's my fstab, should give you enough to modify your own.

devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

I tried the things you mentioned in fstab, but I'm still not getting anything. I'll do some more research I guess...
