Bombs on pcmcia startup

I was installing mandrake 9.2 on my HP ze4400 laptop last night, everything installed fine, but when it boots it locks up when it tries to start pcmcia, does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I don't use pcmcia for anything so if I could just remove it from the startup that would be fine too

You can reinstall and use expert install and don't select pcmcia support.
