Should I buy Slackware?

I am wondering if I should just buy slackware, I can't download it, it takes to long, can someone either give me a spare iso in msn, fatcat92@hotmail.com, or should I buy it?

Buy it. Support your linux community!

I did. It was only about $19.00 for all 4 CD's at MicroCenter.

Although you can get it a lot cheaper at some of the sites that provide cheap cd's.

Why didn't you buy it at the cheaper place?

It was an impulse buy while I was at the computer store.
It was just sitting there on the shelf as I walked by and it jumped up and attached itself to my wallet....

I think I also just wanted the other people milling around there to see somebody pick up a linux distro and walk up to the check out.

Hmmmm.... I can't remember now if I knew about the cheap CD places when I made my purchase. But, if I did, then, like I said, it was basically an impulse buy and I just grabbed it when the opportunity presented itself before I decided to get it online. As I recall I was thinking about getting slackware, then when it was there in front of me, I got it.

And, like Joey repeated , to support the linux community (developers).

Of course, looking back, I should have gone for it cheaper online, since I haven't had a paying job since July 2001!!

Yes. At the bottom of the first link up there, the CD set is #3.96 and Shipping is $6.00 .

A bargain!

Note: That's just one of the sites that sell linux for cheap (inexpensive). Check out some of the other links in this thread:
