Exclamation fedora 15 system dies not apear to be logging events ?

I've had several crashes dumps, panics over the last couple of months
Rarely do I see any indication of the issue within the logs ?
How can I check the logging config for the system to ensure it's logging correctly?

What I'm not seeing ?
last kernel up date
X.org reported missing nvidia-kmod
resolved.
2.6.41.9-1.fc15.x86_64

X.org = New kernel nvidia-kmod not available
no sign of error in logs?
2.6.42.3-2.fc15.x86_64
2.6.41.10-3.fc15.x86_64

I have a two monitor system one monitor does this ( This is hard to explain !!! ) goes black but not quite, get all kinds of funky colors as it goes black ? (analog vga) (secondary digital OK)
a clean stop/start does not relieve the issue?
I don't believe it's the card that is causing this issue as I have seen this before, with a different card in the machine. ( no apparent log entry to state the issue ?)
# note this happens sporadically ? system has lots of cooling

hard drive errors
some times they appear within the log (most of the time they are apparent as the system shuts down)
restart reset disks (check disks OK ?)

I imagine it depends upon the severity and nature of the disk error as writes may be not possible.

If someone could point me to where the conf files are for this, where I can set the debug level and hopefully resolve this issue.
Fedora 15 x64 (stable)

Thank-you all in advance
Any help is good help

I would suggest you first update to Fedora 16 as that's current (not for long tho).

See /etc/rsyslog.conf.

If, after updating to Fedora 16, you still experience crashes please open a ticket in the Fedora bug tracker.

This was a curious poll. Only half of the choices are even Linux distributions.

I looked at it so I could post a remark that I would choose Fedora, but then I see the lead comment is all about problems experienced with Fedora.
