Well slackware is the real thing. It keeps out of your way but then sometimes you have to help a friend or a family member out and you are not available 24x7 for them. In that case it is a lot easier if you install something that might provide some degree of control (gui based).
In these situations I think Vector is the best.
I only use Slackware. If you answer to this poll, in this forum, that you are instead using a Slackware derivative, you should reconsider your options.

There is no such option in the poll. The only requirement for voting is being a Slackware user, its explicitly said on every one of the available choices.
I somehow missed listing the most popular option, but i am documenting every Slackware only user, but i realise not having the tick might prevent some users from voting by posting.
I can't give the right answer to this question either. I have salix on a CD and I even copied the CD on to my hard drive and included its kernel in the lilo menu (I have experimented like this with other live distros). Although I have mucked around with salix to see what it was like I could never say that I use it.
