writing CMS help

hi guys,

i've been looking for tutorial to write a php & mysql based Content management system just like wordpress but no luck i cant find one. i mean a tutorial that starts from designing the system, db schema , coding and so on in a step by step manner. im a junior programmer.. knows some in oracle and jsp, so i dont really mind spending many times in coding. .any hint(s)/comment(s) would be highly appreciated. thanks

If you don't want to spend much time coding, I suggest you take an existing php+mysql supporting CMS.
There are plenty of free CMS available.

I really don't have any idea why someone would like to write a new software application "just like" something else; there doesn't to be much point (although I could understand "I would like to write an xxxx, but with yyyy instead of zzzz, or "I would like to write an xxxx, but with an emphasis on ease of use, rather than technical features" (or vice versa), for example).

However, having said that, here is a site with a comparison of the version CMSs available and a comparison of the features; if that array of existing CMSs doesn't convince you that the world already has enough, and it would be better to improve an existing one, I don't know what will!
