How to program shell script to automate mass user account creation?

Hi guys,
Im currently using Suse Linux 9.0 and is trying to program a script that automatically creates 100 user accounts with encrypted passwords. An example of an account would be
Login name : User00
password : pass00
UID : 1000
GID : 747
Home dir : /home/user00
Shell : /bin/sh

Isit possible to script such a task? How do i go about doing it?
Sorry guys im new to linux and still learning the ropes and i really need help on this issue. Any help would be apprieciated. THX!

There is more than one way to do it.
The adduser and expect commands are there to help you.
