video conferencing

I need a bit of help here.

I need an application that I can use for video conferencing.

Now, I know about ekiga (GnomeMeeting). But, there is one big problem with it ... I don't run GNOME. And yes, it took me a couple of hours of trying to compile many GNOME dependencies before I finally gave up when it asked for dbus ... no thanks. (I'm seriously gonna fix FF to ban me from ever going to ftp.gnome.org ever again ... it's hell ... dependency hell)

So, considering this. I hear there is a program called konference, which may be easier to install ... as I have KDE installed (but use fluxbox).

Unfortunately, BerliOS is the only place I could find to download this app ... and it will not download

http://developer.berlios.de/project/...elease_id=5499

Thanks for any help !

I don't know if there are alternatives at Linuxpackages.net, but why don't you try Alien Bob's Ekiga builds?

http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/

They probably have some features disabled. You can also try to use his .Slackbuild files to compile the stuff yourself.

Great, thanks for that. Somehow I forgot to check there, even though it is usually the first place I check.

Also thanks to Alien Bob for making those packages ... that solves a lot of dependency issues

Thanks again
