Incompatibilities with shuttle SD36G5M?

http://global.shuttle.com/Product/Ba...36G5M-Spec.asp

Do you foresee any incompatibilities of this with slackware 11?
I read somewhere that ubuntu works fine with it so I was wondering about slackware.

I'll give 10 to 1 odds that it would be fine.

The only thing that might give a bit of trouble would be the " Intel 945G"

Anyone have problems with that card ? I think it is supported, tho. So it should be fine.

ok, so I got the machine, here are the specs:

SD36G5M (As posted above)
P4 641 3.2GHz (800Mhz/2MB L2 cache)
1x1GB PC5300/667MHz Kingston DDR2
Hitachi 250GB
TDK optical drive
dell floppy drive

Would like to dual boot on it,
/dev/hda1 --> WinXP [Primary partition] (125GB)
/dev/hda2 --> /boot [Primary partition](100MB)

I'm left with partitioning for /, /home, swap (2GB) and /usr or /usr/local

so the problem is this which should I use for primary, extended/logical, how much space to assign each partition and whether I should use /usr or /usr/local?
oh and which kernel should I use to install?

Pls note that I want it to be upgradeable without having to lose any data or installed programs.

another qn would be can I transfer the license/registration key of windows xp from an old computer to this one? I'm not using the old computer anymore...

Any help appreciated.

For the kernel to use, I would use huge26.s

Partitions, don't ask me, I have 1 partition (and 1 swap)

For transferring XP reg key, please ask Bill Gates.

ok, so I did fdisk /dev/hda

and after I partitioned 150MB for /boot, and wanted to partition +2048M for swap, I got this error message, value out of range, what gives?

I noticed that the first cylinder is 1-20, after /boot and partitioning swap, first cylinder 7, last cylinder 20...

ok something really wierd happened, suddenly the screen kept repeating press m for help,

and another thing that happened after I rebooted was the root#slackware prompt started repeating and scrolling down the screen... can anyone help???

ok, so I changed the keyboard, I think the keyboard was spoilt, rebooted with sata.i kernel this time and I got about 1 to 80 blocks or so for hdd space and I got the same error message that the vlaue is out of range when I partitioned it. What does this mean?
I have a 250GB hdd...2048mb hardly even half of it...

ok, nevermind, I did some searching, thought that sata uses the same hdx as pata, I used sda instead and it worked.
