Slackware vs. Solaris


OK, I have Debian installed on my computer, but I want to dual boot it with either Slackware or Solaris. I have had problems with Solaris since it doesn't seem to read Linux partitions. Your thoughts?

Since this isn't getting responses soon and I need to do it soon, I am planning on installing Slack...

Good choice, if you really want to get into the system, that's the way to go, and then maybe gentoo and LFS...

With the help of a third party driver, Solaris can read Linux partitions provided they use ext2/ext3 filesystems. http://paulf.free.fr/software.html
