WPA Wireless Adapter (H/W Question)

hi all,

i saw this ubuntu WPA tutorial posted on digg. anyway, it looked pretty straightforward, however, i'm aware that some USB wireless adapters require ndiswrapper b/c the linux drivers don't work.

i don't mind buying an USB adapter to avoid having to mess with ndisrapper, but i don't know which one to buy.

i'd appreciate it if someone could name a few and/or point me to a good resource for this kind of information.

thanks,

GNewbie

[edited to add: the more widely available the USB wireless adapter, the better]

Resource for wireless

I found this site really useful when helping to choose wireless products. It is good to get somthing with kernel support or stable drivers that can be found in your distributions package repository.

I cannot post a url but this is a sure way to find the resource
Go to Google (not advcating exclusive use of Google.)
type in:
linux wireless drivers

then in the first few listed choose the one named:
the devices the drivers

There is a USB device in there:
3.29 ZyDAS ZD1201 driver this is based on 802.11b chipset and the drivers are included in kernel 2.6.12

just type in Zydas into a shoping search engine...
