ive got suse 10, and il like to dual boot with windows... untill i get uber confident with linux.. anyhow ive got 59gigs free, so i am thinking about getting a new 120gig hd and cutting it half so 60 for windows and 60 for linux...
anyhow hows suse working on the newer hps? is the touch pad still functional and stuff? what about verizons wireless broadband card, does linux suport expresscard?
ok i got the live cd burnt, it started up perfect, the touch pad is SUPER sensitive... wow... anyhow i couldnt figure out how to enable wifi, and i noticed it didnt install a sound card... possible problems...
any help... i am courious to see how it does with my verizon wireless broadband card...
You can check this with the firmware test by running the first disk of the SuSe install. HP is grabbing it's ankles for M$. The BIOS is the reason the sound and other things are broken... look and see for yourself. HP told me they had NO intentions of fixing it either!!!

Update:
I have now posted a complaint on the BBB for HP. HP is now stating that all it's standard laptops will ONLY run M$. Further that if anyone loads another OS on them that the warranty is VOID!!! I am asking all the great linux users out there to boycott HP!!!! Not only did HP not help, but they were VERY confrontational and RUDE to me.
