it's been about 2 or 3 weeks since Yum last updated my system w/out errors. i reported a 'bug' to redhat bugzilla, but i've received no feedback... other than one reply of 'need more info'... which basically led to a 'stalemate' as i didn't know what other info to provide (i asked what 'info' was needed but received no reply)
i just want to know how concerned i should be-- for every time i do a 'yum -y update' the process ends in error. Considering the error, is anything being updated during that process before the error, or would you say that running (specifically) a 'yum -y update' is futile until i've got this problem worked out?
here's what yum reports (same thing it's been reporting for at least a week or more):

i've tried as best i know to resolve these issues independently of one another, for example, by going ot pbone.net, etc.-- but nothing i've found works-- furthermore, the reason i submitted the 'bug' report-- is due to YumEx's own recommendation that i do so-- each day that it crashes (upon every crash it recommends a bug report is submitted, but clicking "save [log]" simply closes the dialogue-- i've not been able to find any logs recorded. I don't know how it works, but i think it's crashing completely before saving the bug-report log).
it's something i've been curious about... and w/out any input from the bugzilla people-- i don't know if i should be reacting, or just not care about it (ie. wait for a reply and continue w/out any active changes). yet, i'm experiencing an increasing amount of problems w/ the system in general-- so i can't help but think there must be at least some relevancy to the Yum no-update.
i appreciate any advice you could lend on the subject. thanks!
