redirect a program to 2 displays

[new thread from: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi....php?t=477653]
the reason i wanted to do this was to play the same avi on my desktop and laptop at the same time. i ssh to the desktop and do:
Code:
 DISPLAY=localhost 0.0 xine -f hello.avi; xine -f hello.avi
the laptop screen lags a little so i tried sleep 1 .

is there a way to redirect the program to 2 displays via ethernet? (the equivelent of cloning/ spanning the desktop using a video card with s-video out).

by and by the video is trés choppy over the ethernet eventhough last week it was clear. might have something to do with my linksys thread.
