Angry Ok, this Flash Player thing is pissing me off.

As alot of you people have already noticed, alot of sites are switching to Flash 8, and it will not be available for linux until 2007??!! Adobe can s*** my ba***.

Anyways, is there anyway to play Flash 8 on linux that anyone knows of? Like maybe a Flash player clone, an emulator, or something that will port windows plugins to linux so you can use them with firefox?

That might be worth looking at.

Isn't there a Flash 9 now? Wonder how long we'll have to wait for that.

Edit: Looks like they'll be skipping Flash 8 for Linux.

All you need is wine and the win32 version of firefox. Also I have mediaplayerconnectivity set-up to launch native mplayer.
See my posting on the first page http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...&highlight=mlb

Actually, this is a pretty good solution. My girlfriend needs to use Authorware for a course she's doing and Wine plus the win32 version of Firefox works perfectly. Rather annoying to have to bow to Macromedia's disregard for alternative OSs but it's a solution.
