ok, i know that. but how do i install a source package with dselect ? i repeat that i don't see anywhere in the list something like a section of source packages.
I assume you know how to install a regular pkg. w/ dselect, I don't because I use apt-get & KPackage; so I think your Q really is "How do I get a list of availble source pkgs.?"
What I do is use the "Find" function in KPackage -- in this case my search strings would be "src" & "source".
If you know how to get a CLI list of all available pkgs., then piping it through
Your package manager only installs the .deb containing the source, not the source itself! You'll have to do that manually with the familiar "tar -x{j/z}f <package-name>" then cd into the resulting directory, then "./configure && make && make install"
I was assuming from the context that he wants to install the pkgs. themselves for some unstated purpose; possibly, but not necessarily, to then actually install the source. Why he would want to that when the same repos give him access to perfectly good binaries, I won't speculate.
