CAP_NET_RAW and Ethereal Access

Hi

I run slackware and just installed ethereal. Everything works fine, but as a user I can't capture anything with ethereal. How can I give myself access using root to the network interfaces? I tried putting my user in wheel group, sice I knew that it has access to raw device, but it does not work. Any ideas?

Have you tried it using sudo? That's how I run it on my box and it works just fine.
