[SOLVED] how do I get modules loaded after lm sensors sensor-detect

A bit lost. linux has made changes in number of distros while I have been away.

appreciate some help

trying to get lm_sensors going. ran sensors-detect but when I reboot
I dont get all sensors detected in previous session.

using gkrellm with lm sensors thats pretty easy to setup.

nevermind solved

just put modules I need in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules
no idea why sensors-detect was doing

Do you want to overwrite /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors? (YES/no): y Copy prog/init/lm_sensors.init to /etc/init.d/lm_sensors for initialization at boot time. You should now start the lm_sensors service to load the required kernel modules.

couldnt find /etc/init.d/lm_sensors after saying yes.
perhaps someone could fill me in.

The yes/no question was about changing /etc/sysconfig/lm_sensors.

The bit

Copy prog/init/lm_sensors.init to /etc/init.d/lm_sensors for initialization at boot time

was telling *you* to copy that file.

I don't believe that Slackware would have run it in either case.

Sensord-detect told You which modules You should be used.
Just add their names to /etc/rc.d/rc.modules.local
