Amule 2.3.2 hangs

I compiled Amule 2.3.2 using Ponce's slackbuild.
Using it ends quickly - it hangs after 30 seconds or so.
Can we do something with it ?

I registered in CLI the following:

(amule:10018): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 87 was not found when attempting to remove it

(amule:10018): GLib-WARNING **: giounix.c:410Error while getting flags for FD: Bad file descriptor (9)

(amule:10018): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 760 was not found when attempting to remove it

Terminated after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
what(): std::bad_alloc
* Could not get symbol names for backtrace
backtrace:

There is a thread dedicated to dealing with SlackBuild problems on -current. I'd suggest posting there to get more visibility on your issue.

Hi brodo,

FYI I cannot reproduce it here: it closes by itself just the first time you try to run it, then it starts and runs fine (tested on slackware64-current).

Ponce, did you engage an ipfilter.dat file in your amule ?
When I disable this file, my amule works fine ....

Ponce, I tried, but there's something with patching:

are you using all the files in that directory to build it? I have no issues with that patch here...

OK, now it works, must have missed sth.
But I also compiled fresh versions of cryptopp and wxPython (SBo) prior to compiling Amule.
Let us wait a day or two - we'll see if it is still stable.

I think it works well now. Wat was the culprit to blame ?

seems like it was 2.3.2 while 2.3.1-SVN-r10983 works fine.
