Cannot install Ubuntu TV

Hello all,

I have Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on my machine, and the last few days I've been trying to make Ubuntu TV work.

I looked on UbuntuTV Wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuTV/Contributing) and decided to follow the steps:

First of all, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a virtual machine (wouldn't risk my main OS) and followed all the steps of the Wiki...but when I logout and come back, nothing really changes, and plus the Unity side bar doesn't even appear anymore. I know Ubuntu TV is still experimental, but I've seen so many posted videos on people using it.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.
