How to change label on Ipod shuffle

i tried to create a bootable Debian USB disk with Win32 Disk Image on a 2G IPD shuffle. it wasn't successful. and I've reformatted it back to FAT. However ever since, whenever i insert IPD shuffle into my debian machine. it's labeled as Debian8 live disk.

how to change to lable back to 'IPD shuffle'?

Under Linux I don't know how to re-label VFAT. I do know how to make a volume name when you create the fast file system using something like mkfs.vfat:
Code:
sudo mkfs.vfat -n <volume-name> <partition>
Another option I thought was under MS-DOS, Windows Command Prompt, or just Explorer, can't you rename the volume there?

EDIT before even sending:::
http://unix.stackexchange.com/questi...t32-filesystem

That link says dosfslabel is included in the DOS tools which give you mkfs.vfat and thus allows you to change the volume label. I just don't have a disk to try that on, nor have the inkling to experiment much. Seems like a perfectly valid thing to do.
