Ubuntu mate...

https://ubuntu-mate.org/

Ubuntu MATE is a stable, easy-to-use operating system with a configurable desktop environment. Ideal for those who want the most out of their desktops, laptops and netbooks and prefer a traditional desktop metaphor. With modest hardware requirements it is suitable for modern workstations and older hardware alike.

I see.

More Ubuntu propaganda.

This is clear since where Slackware, along with all distros other than Ubuntu, has a reputation for being hard to use.

Having installed both, many times in VMs and a few times on real hardware, I can categorically state that Ubuntu is easier to install. In many circumstances much easier.
In day-to-day use I couldn't comment as I'm sure that getting software from Slackbuilds and the like could be as easy as apt-get or Software Centre as both have their good and bad points.
