ltsp not working

Hi,

Friends,

I am using lubuntu-14.04 for LTSP. I am unable to login through fat clients. the screen gets flashes and gets logged out. I am able to login on server with same credentials.

I also did ltsp-update-sshkeys, ltsp-update-kernel and ltsp-update-image, but same result.

But when i select LXDE as session i gets login, but when i chooses lubuntu session (default session), the login screen flashes and gets loged out.

Seeking for help.

Regards,

Redssr

redssr,

I guess you have already seen these?

NBD/NFS problems:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/45109...untu-14-04-lts

It is ages since I did this blog on LTSP and it is likely that several things have changed, including NBD/NFS on 14.04:

Hello,

beachboy2,

I had already gone these, even i configured my LTSP setup using http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...scratch-35204/.

Here are my points for more clarification

1) I had installed 4 DE on chroot for fat client, KDE,LXDE, L-ubuntu and gnome-ubuntu
2) I can login through fat clients using KDE,LXDE and gnome-ubuntu DE(s), but when i select Lubuntu which is default DE (as my server OS is L-ubuntu, I am not able to login, the screen gets flashed and user gets loged out.
3) I am able to login with same user on server side with L-ubuntu (default OS Desktop)
4) If i want to use L-ubuntu DE, I had to first select xterm DE, and from there i had to run below command

Code:
lxsession -e LXDE -s Lubuntu
and then I am able to use L-ubuntu DE on client side.

Kindly suggest.

Regards,

Redssr.

redssr,

You could try emailing The Fan Club, Bristol Wireless and Blackpool LUG who were all very helpful to me when I wrote my LTSP blog.

https://www.thefanclub.co.za/contact

http://blackpoollug.blogspot.co.uk/p/contact-us.html

http://www.bristolwireless.net/contact-us/

Refer them to this thread and my blog:

Here are two more LTSP gurus:

Robert Pogson:

Alkis Georgopoulos:

I hope that one of them has a solution for you.

Hello,

Dear friend beachboy2,

Thanks again for your reply, and positing these valuable URL(s). I may need them in future.

Secondly I got the solution for my problem. Actually its a known bug in L-ubuntu of 14.04 version according to this thread.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...p/+bug/1330252.

I had refer this and got my problem solve.

For now I am marking this thread as resolved.
