Fedora 20 gnome user session remains active after logout or reboot

My wifes netbook runs fedora 20. I have made two accounts, one for her and one for me (for maintenance). Recently she was hit by the "Firefox is already running....etc thing. After i ssh'd into her netbook i found out that her session remains active after she logged out ergo even after a reboot.
So does firefox even after she quitted it before logging out!
loginctl user-status mywifesname shows lot of processes among which is gnome-session;
http://pastebin.com/c7aZWmVe
I have erased all .gnome etc. dirs from her homedir but still...
What is wrong here?

the default setting for gnome on fedora is to store the STATE of the last session

so if you turn off the computer with firefox still running
it will RESTART on the next boot

and the same goes for a CRASHED firefox GUI
kill the firefox process that is not using the gui
then reboot

gnome on debian has the option for session-save but it has to be set by user. Its it possible that it's been changed by user as I have a Fedora installation on VB & it's not set to save session.
Here's a pic of my XFCE settings.

Thanks John & Eddy for your reply but even when Firefox is quitted or halted or even terminated it comes up the next time.
Still loginctl registrates TWO of my wifes sessions!
Where ONE (where the old session apps get restored?)is normal on my laptop.
Quote:
loginctl
SESSION UID USER SEAT
c1 1001 mywife
1 1001 mywife seat0
(2 1000 me@SSH)
Strange?!?
