The link to the script is broken, but I have a confirmed problem nearly identical to the one listed.

Thanks for the manual, but i still dont get the f*ck running.

Could you post/send your kernel config (or a kernel image ?

Dont get sound running (and no pcmcia)

This thread is old, but many search engines are still pointing to it. It took me a few years to figure this out, so I might as well share the wealth.

Stars and garters! Such language! :-)

Try the sound section of my 600E HowTo. It is basically the same as this, but a little more comprehensive and the Suse info can easily be pulled out and applied to other distros.

I've done it this way on about six or eight 600E's with Suse, Ubuntu, and Fedora.
