Allow "member success stories" to be marked as RESOLVED
The title is my suggestion.
Details:
I posted a thread regarding something that I saw as a common question with my resolution and marked it as RESOLVED. A moderator subsequently moved it to member success stories which removed the RESOLVED from it and it won't allow me to mark it as such.
I know it may sound redundant to mark a "success story" as "RESOLVED" but only in the context of the forum it is in. If one is doing a general web search and finds the thread they have no way of knowing it was resolved without going to the link.
The "RESOLVED" designation in web searches is very helpful in deciding which of a plethora of hits to examine. One often has to wade through multiple posts from varying sites (including sites that are replicating posts from other sites) only to find the same non-solution over and over. Seeing one marked as "RESOLVED" in search results helps one quickly decide to go to such a link.
Therefore I'd urge the ability to mark such things as resolved.
Interestingly I had to first mark it "unsolved" then mark it "resolved" for it to show the status. Apparently it remembered previously being marked resolved but wasn't showing as such after your change until I did that.
Shouldn't all success stories default to RESOLVED?
I recently had a BIOS issue that needed to be upgraded. I posted the solution a few days later and had my problem moved to the General Forum. I try to petition against the moderator as my vendor only issues Windows (not DOS) BIOS upgrades. I provided a solution that allowed users to update their BIOS without installing Windows. However, because I had to use a Windows PE solution it was moved to General and lost its RESOLVED status.

I'd modify your suggestion to say that any thread moved by moderator that currently is showing as RESOLVED should keep its RESOLVED status on being moved.
I'd argue against marking all Member Success Stories as RESOLVED automatically as some threads are posted in incorrect forums (which is why moderators later move them) and having it show up as RESOLVED might prevent anyone from helping the submitter.

Now that the RESOLVED functionality is enabled in that forum, a moved thread will retain its RESOLVED status.
