ODT to JPG


Is there a way to convert .odt files into a jpg format?

there mite be a 1-step method but what i would do is save the file to pdf using open-office. then convert the pdf -> jpg. using image-magick the syntax would be like

convert file.pdf file.jpg

You could also use a screen grabber to do that. I'd be curious about why you would want to convert .odt files to .jpg format.

Converting from ODT to PDF seems possible to batch up so the two step method wouldn't be too bad as long as the files are too numerous:

(note, ignore the fact the link mentions Windows as answer number 1 gives a Linux solution)

Thanks..Used Shutter to grab screen and edited it in Gimp:

In terminal
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shutter/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install shutter
