Error 1 on Dragonfly BSD

Hello all!

Today, I installed Dragonfly BSD on my Quad Core AMD Phenom 9150e. The install went perfect and I went ahead and installed x11. I then went ahead with trying to install Openbox. It did its thing with going out with getting things and compiling the downloading ports. However it goes into the python directory under the ports.

And I get this:

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/dports/devel/gobject-introspection
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/dports/devel/gobject-introspection

#

There is nothing wrong with make.conf && my src.conf as I have not touched them. I did a make clean && make rmconfig-recursive many times and it had no affect towards getting openbox on my system. This is a bare bones install literally just two hours old.

How can I get openbox on my box?

The actual error is above what you posted.

Please run the gnomelogalyzer, available from
"http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/gnomelogalyzer.sh", which will diagnose the
problem and suggest a solution. If - and only if - the gnomelogalyzer cannot
solve the problem, report the build failure to the FreeBSD GNOME team at
gnome@FreeBSD.org, and attach (a)
"/usr/obj/dports/devel/gobject-introspection/work/gobject-introspection-1.36.0/config.log",
(b) the output of the failed make command, and (c) the gnomelogalyzer output.
Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed
on your system (i.e. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). Put your attachment up on any
website, copy-and-paste into http://freebsd-gnome.pastebin.com, or use
send-pr(1) with the attachment. Try to avoid sending any attachments to the
mailing list (gnome@FreeBSD.org), because attachments sent to FreeBSD mailing
lists are usually discarded by the mailing list software.

Disclaimer - FreeBSD user, no experience of Dragonfly.

I would suggest upgrading the ports tree and then running an upgrade before trying to build anything else from ports.

I get the same result. Right now I wish I did decide to go with FreeBSD.

Different BSD ports may always have different variable with software support.

Check the Openbox dependency list and see if all the required dependencies are in fact installed. It could be a dependency check error from a missing dependency during compile.

OpenBox does require Pango to be installed, with optional dependencies in Imlib2, PyXDG, startup-notification, and librsvg. Check your installed packages and see if at minimum Pango is installed. This list is usually what is required in Linux, but it should translate into BSD equally.

You might want to see if Dragonfly has a binary package as well.
