Cheap Ubuntu /Debian alternative to Iphone/Android smartphone?

Hi,

I would like to move from Iphone to Linux Debian or Ubuntu companion.

The iphone is a fantastic companion, nothing to say. There is a plethora of applications and it is light to carry and sufficiently small to fit into the pocket.

Unfortunately there are Android but aren't Ubuntu/Debian operating system. For me, that's not Linux at all to have Android. Really.

Would you know a cheap Linux Ubuntu or Debian alternative to the iphone?

I considered to buy an Nokia n900 but it is much too heavy, compared to the iphone.

Thank you
Looking forward to reading your posts.

thank you.

it would be nice, however, you have to flash the device and install Linux on the top. The phone is not by default delivered with ubuntu (or debian)

I have read on Archos Tablets it is possible to install Debian. Though a tablet is not a phone, but maybe it would replace it if you use telephony provider cards.

Would you think that it is possible to install a distro Linux Debian or Ubuntu on it? You need to flash, right?
