Script to strip attachment on server and send it to NAS

Hi I am looking for a script that would be able to filter emails with attachments, strip off the embedded attachment and send it to a NAS so that the user only see a URL to our NAS.

I have looked for python/perl scripts that would be able to do that, but I am still not sure if there is a more 'out of the box' script that was designed for that in mind.

Regards.

If hints are enough: cat mail(box), pipe through formail to separate messages and pipe through a procmail recipe?
