ftp: connect: No route to host


I am getting FTP error like
ftp: connect: No route to host
I am able to ping both server & able to ftp from 1 server to other but I am not able to ftp from 2nd server to first server.
Please suggest solution.
I tried all the thread but not get relevent solution

There are a number of possibilities.

You could have a firewall blocking ftp. Try turning off your firewalls and try again.

This could be a routing problem. Ping works both ways? Have you updated the /etc/hosts files on both systems with correct names and IP addresses?

Are you running a DNS server? Is this a local lan connection?
