problem with apt-get, print uris

this command:

apt-get -qq --print-uris dist-upgrade > uris4

gives no output, even though there are packages to be updated.
using Debian testing, amd64, apt v0.9.11.4

can someone please help?

edit: I've found someone with exact same problem:

From the bug report/that page it seems this was fixed in 0.9.12. Update to it.

If you are running Jessie (as you seem to be if you are on 0.9.11.4), then it's no great effort to pull 0.9.12 from Sid, or wait for 0.9.12 to migrate to testing in ~7 days.

We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
apt, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
