Wine: Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0 not found

Trying to run an application under Wine and I'm getting this error:
Code:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies
I've Googled and followed a good number of threads, but all seem to agree I need to ensure I have Mono installed - which I do. Any suggestions? "8-[

You can try winetricks. It's a package.

Ah. My apologies. I thought the problem was self-explanatory, in that it appears to be a missing Microsoft component. As I have not been able to find a solution from any of the links Google gave me, I suspect is it currently insoluble. Perhaps I will install it on WinXP running in a box, although it goes against the grain. "8-)

Kind regards,
Doug

Thanks AwesomeMachine. I have not used WineTricks for years and - boy - has it grown up! I was able to apply some useful tweaks, but sadly none solved my problem. Good to know how useful it is now anyway.

Kind regards,
Doug

Wonder if this will still work?
"Just copy the System.Web.Extensions.dll into the bin directory of your web application"

Think MS offers some linux VB code kit too.
