2 node redhat cluster cman: node is already active.

I have configured two rhel vms to function as a cluster. These are the contents of cluster.conf file in each of the nodes(/etc/cluster/cluster.conf)
Code:
<cluster name="mycluster" config_version="2">
   <cman two_node="1" expected_votes="1"/>
   <clusternodes>
     <clusternode name="node-01.example.com" nodeid="1">
         <fence>
         </fence>
     </clusternode>
     <clusternode name="node-02.example.com" nodeid="2">
         <fence>
         </fence>
     </clusternode>
   </clusternodes>
   <fencedevices>
   </fencedevices>
   <rm>
   </rm>
</cluster>
Configuration is validated.

When I attempt to start the cluster, I run the following command in each of the nodes.

Code:
service cman start
In one of the nodes, the service is started successfully. In the other, I get this
Code:
 starting cman...cman tool: node is already active
                                            [FAILED]
I am using RHEL-6. Kindly help. Thanks.

RHEL uses a firewall by default. The issue is resolved. cman, rgmanager is running successfully on both nodes. Now if I run clustat. The status of the local server is active, the other one is offline. Its vice versa on the second node. What might be the problem? please help. Thanks.
