https: non-secure content on the homepage

It turns out that, by default a modern browser such as Iceweasel 23.0 no longer downloads non https resources when the original page is served over https. The LQ homepage references some CSS over http when you visit it with https. The result is attached. Note: this was with a newly created profile with no extensions or setting changes.

Kind of odd? Maybe I'm blind but I'm only seeing HTTPS:
Code:
<!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
<style type="text/css" id="vbulletin_css">
/**
* vBulletin 3.8.8 Beta 1 CSS
* Style: 'LQ Style - child of default'; Style ID: 7
*/
@import url("https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style-a31b45e8-00007.css");
</style>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/clientscript/vbulletin_important.css?v=388b1" />

<!-- / CSS Stylesheet -->
and style-a31b45e8-00007.css itself only references HTTPS items too...

Huh... That is odd.

Code:
<!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
<style type="text/css" id="vbulletin_css">
/**
* vBulletin 3.8.8 Beta 1 CSS
* Style: 'LQ Style - child of default'; Style ID: 7
*/
@import url("http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style-a31b45e8-00007.css");
</style>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/clientscript/vbulletin_important.css?v=388b1" />

Yes, I can confirm that part, style-a31b45e8-00007.css references https resources for me.

EDIT:

Firefox 24 and IE8 on Windows XP (corporate work machine, don't ask!) display the same behaviour.

Thanks for the bug report. I can confirm that in some cases non-https URL references are being made. We'll attempt to clean this up before the pending code update.

There are likely a few residual issues, but the main page should be rendered correctly via https now.

Confirmed as working. Cheers jeremy.

I just noticed that /hcl and /reviews suffer the same problem. You're probably aware anyhow, but just on the off chance...

It's unlikely the hcl and reviews sections will be fixed before the pending code update.
