Question OPENSUSE and wireless connection. Connection exists, but doesn't supply access.

I am able to access the Internet with my corded connection (as you can see).
However, I am having trouble with my wireless. I get a connection that shows EXCELLENT, but still Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. don't have any connection.

Any ideas I would be thankful for. I need to free this computer from the cord.

Have you re-started your computer since setting up the wireless connection? I've sometimes found that when I've switched connections, it hasn't worked properly until I've restarted.

If yes, I'd suggest trying the following in a terminal window while connected to wireless, to see if it gives any clues:

Code:
$ /sbin/ifconfig # Does this show a configured interface named something like "wlanX"?
