Welcome to both this forum and Manjaro! You'll enjoy 'em both.
I have been using Manjaro quite some time now, and as far as a roller goes, it's stable. It does NOT boast the bleeding edge, but that comes with a bonus: what you do get is stable. Arch is bleeding edge, but that...can (does not have to) break things...
Maybe a warning: try to avoid the AUR. That is a (good and fun) collection of user contributed
(and maintained) stuff...stability can be an issue...or...the lack there off...
Manjaro does not
provide support on the AUR collection. If you're confident enough to debug your way out of and through the swamp, go ahead. Some of it is really good
As for the "older" software...that too is a plus, things like Mint are super stable...because they dont sit on the "edge" all the time
