Thumbs up MY Xfce4 desktop on Fedora 17 - Light and beautiful!

I mean, doesn't it look beautiful? I really love it! Takes a nano second to launch, and looks awesome, while being so responsive!

you are aware that 17(Beefy Miracle) is unsupported and has not received any updates since July of 2013

I know But I've spent so much time configuring this one that I loathe having to start all over again. Then there's the issue of the next Fedora going EOL. If I upgrade now, I'll have to do it again in some three months. I can't just keep reinstalling over and over again! But I've decided, there's some work I've got to do that's urgent, and after that, I'm moving to a rolling distro

Try a window manager. The speed might leave you dizzy.

I've got 4G ram and 2.3G quad core processor. Even kde runs smoothly on it. What i love about xfce is that it gives me ~4 hours of battery life and uses literally no resources at all. I used icewm also and i love it, but i love shadows under windwos and stuff, and xfce gives me that while being light at the same time.
