atalk/netatalk/afp: linux as time capsule / mac backup

I have kernel 2.6.18-308.1.1.el5 (CentOS 5.9) and netatalk-2.0.5-4.el5. I've defined the following (a very minimal configuration):

Code:
/etc/atalk/AppleVolumes.default:

/opt/backups/fecha "TimeCapsuleMogwai" cnidscheme:dbd options:usedots,upriv,tm allow:zeek

/etc/atalk/atalkd.conf:

eth0

/etc/atalk/afpd.conf:

- -tcp -noddp -uamlist uams_dhx2_passwd.so -nosavepassword

I'm able to authenticate against afp://mogwai, mount TimeCapsuleMogwai, and read and write files and directories to this. HOWEVER, when I try to connect this to Time Machine (OS X 10.7.5) I don't see the disk. I think it has something to do with these warnings when I start /etc/init.d/atalk

Code:
Starting AppleTalk services:
Starting atalkd:socket: Address family not supported by protocol
socket: Address family not supported by protocol
atalkd: can't get interfaces, exiting.
                                                           [FAILED]
  Registering mogwai:Workstation: [FAILED]
  Registering mogwai:netatalk: [FAILED]
  Starting cnid_metad: [ OK ]
  Starting afpd: [ OK ]
Here are the logs:

Code:
Sep 28 11:42:14 mogwai afpd[4728]: Registering CNID module [last]
Sep 28 11:42:14 mogwai afpd[4728]: Registering CNID module [cdb]

Sep 28 11:42:14 mogwai afpd[4728]: ASIP started on 192.168.1.5:548(5) (2.0.5)
Sep 28 11:42:14 mogwai afpd[4728]: uam: uams_dhx2_passwd.so loaded
Sep 28 11:42:14 mogwai afpd[4728]: uam: "DHX2" available
