VMware bridged networking

I'm using VMWare and it's great though I can't connect to network with bridged networking. I understand I need vmnetcfg.exe file though can't find it in VMware Player folder where it should be. When I try installing externally I get an error. What should I do?

"Have error / can't do something / doesn't work" replies are difficult to say something about if host / guest configuration, virtualization guest configuration and log files and diagnostics output haven't been checked / shown. I'd would start by installing the free-to-use VMware Server: it's not that much bigger and provides all the tools you need.

It's a common problem apparently, I found the solution through a video on youtube from Danscourses. Thanks anyway.
