Wink Dell ATI Radeon HD 3470

Hey all, I have a ATI Radeon HD 3470 that i'm trying to get working with my new Dell U2414 LCD running on DP. I can't seem to get the drivers to load properly. Has anyone else gotten it to work? Please let me know.

Running OpenSuse 13.1. 64bit.

The HD3470 is deemed to be legacy by AMD, but the legacy driver is not compatible with openSuse 13.1. So your only option is to run the free radeon driver (which should work fine with that card).
Please describe your problem: What does not work, what have you tried already, ... .

So if i use the free radeon driver, the monitor will go to a sleep state (or i turn it off for the night) and I will never get to see the desktop again. I will move the mouse or use the keyboard and nothing works to get it back. i have to reboot to make it work again.

I also wanted to try and use a smaller monitor in addition to the 24" that i'm using. Both utilizing the DP on my radeon card. Hope this helps!
