How to add NetworkManager Applet 0.8.1

Hi ,

I have the CentOS release 6.2 (Final) operating system. I created a user and I do not know how to add NetworkManager Applet 0.8.1 to the Panel. It is already there in my root account.

I copied the panel settings of root to my user using the command cp /root/.gconf/apps/panel/ /home/<UN>/.gconf/apps/panel/, still no use.

Please help.
